History of Caldwell Letter Service, Inc.
In 1932, at the height of the Depression, Alta Caldwell began hand inserting and addressing envelopes, successfully establishing her direct mail company as an important source for cost effective advertising in a cost conscious society. Today Caldwell is still family owned and operated, but many things have changed since Alta Caldwell hand addressed envelopes. Applications, production, technology, computers and bar-coding are just a few examples. One thing hasn’t changed since 1932, and that’s the fact that direct mail is still the most economical way to spend your advertising dollars. We have kept up with the technology and the changes in the postal industry to continue to give our customers the best and most cost-efficient way to advertise.
